I think this class is going to be pretty interesting. I've never blogged before and I think it will be interesting to see what everyone has to say on here.
I'm not sure about anyone else but I have always thought the "lights out" scare was true. I actually know quite a few people who believed it to be true. I think it's amazing how such a small rumor can be started and spread coast to coast throughout an entire country. I remember the first time I heard about the myth. I was in Myrtle Beach and I was driving with my friends. My friend flashed her lights at an suv that had its headlights off. Everyone in the car snapped at her and told us the myth. The funny thing is that we were all scared and were all looking out making sure there weren't any suv's following us to where we were going.
I'm sure there are many people with stories like mine..probably better than mine that would be more interesting to read!!

I definately thought the "lights out" myth was true. It was huge around Rochester where I'm from. Especially since there are many gangs in the area. I didn't hear about the myth until 5 years after it started though.
I also thought it was true. actually seeing your blog helped me think of something to write for my blog. It seems pretty freaky though that the suv pulled you over to tell you the myth.
That's crazy. I live in upstate new york and I never heard that myth. Maybe in my part is just never went around but if I had heard it, that would have really creeped me out. There are like no gangs in my area so I guess I wouldn't have to worry about it.
When I was reading the Lights Out I remebering someone telling me about it. I told my friends when we were in the lounge about it being a rumor and they did not believe me. That would be pretty scary if it was true but I cannot belive that people still think it is true.
At least there weren't flying saucers....
;-)
I saw the myth in a movie once, maybe it was "I Know What You Did Last Summer"? That could have been it. Not sure though.
Anyways, I'm sure in our society today there are people that find pleasure in pulling pranks like "Lights Out", even though some may not call it a prank rather than a death sentence.
